Let’s start with a spooky one for the holiday season - This one really grabbed me because of the copy and the image. We all know how creepy this product looks, it scares me every time. Well, the brand also knows. So they’ve made it a thing and based an entire advert around it and I love that for them.

Often brands think too much of themselves and avoid ads that poke fun at them. But if you can embrace it and laugh along with your customers then the more they’ll see you as relatable and buy from you. It’s the little things like this that separate you from others in the market.

Overall this is a pretty simple creative, you can make this yourself in a few minutes using Creative OS or from scratch in Canva. But I bet it converts like crazy.

Bali Body

A lot of the time high-production studio ads like this can be pretty boring. Slow to get going, don’t hold attention but look great. Well, this one I found is pretty rad. It’s fast, it’s fun and grabbed me right off the feed.

If you watch it in full you’ll see how the advert is led by the upbeat music track and we’re shown the product in action and being used on the models. It’s pretty smart how much they can fit into a short placement like this.

Chances are this was shot at the same time the brand was shooting statics - Often ads are done like this to save some money on models and locations. Back in my old videographer days, I did MANY of these. Normally because video is an afterthought the ads are a little lacklustre, but this one has had some thought into it and I like to see that.

So if you’re in a similar boat and off to a studio to take some photos, why not plan out a video similar to this and get creative!

I’m a big advocate of simple image creative. That’s why you’ll find a few of them inside Creative OS. But this one I just think is great - Because what else do you need when you’re advertising a cap? Not much.

After we’ve seen this on our feed, we know what the product looks like. We know the hats are warm, soft and made from great quality corduroy. Done - Nice and easy. Then to top it off we have some social proof that they’ve put a branded spin on the “Happy Craniums” gag. Very nice.

Social feeds are busy, customers are bombarded with ads every day. Sometimes keeping it simple and easy is the only way to earn attention. Especially as we move into BFCM.
